On Sunday, July 3rd we hosted Lausanne – Switzerland’s most successful Club in Junior Golf – for the Junior Interclub Quarter Finals.
A long day of ups and downs with very close matches ended with a victory for the very talented and experienced team from Lausanne. Three matches being decided on the 17th hole and one on the 18th! Jean-Charles Bemberg, Junior Captain in Lausanne for the past 11 years, said it was the most hard-fought match he has been involved in.
I’m very proud of our team for how well they battled against such a strong team (Handicaps 0.1, 1.0, 3.0,3.1,4.0 & 6.5).
Congratulations to Lausanne. We wish them success in their semi final match and hope to meet them in the final next year! 🙂
And our juniors? A week of training and tournaments should help them to put this narrow defeat behind them.
As for the Junior Captain – he’s too tired to write in German! 😉
